The Best Hunter Transmog Sets Are From TBC

Recently I was stumbling around the internet, trying to avoid doing my writing for NaNoWriMo, and found someone lamenting the fact that hunters have no good transmog sets.

Mate.  You do know that The Burning Crusade exists, right?

For my money basically every hunter set that came out of TBC was good.  Heck, even most of the non-hunter sets were really good.  TBC was just overall fantastic for cosmetic sets and transmog purposes.

Here’s Althalor in the Sunwell set and Golden Bow of Quel’Thalas (no helmet because it obscures his pretty face):

CN6rq3PUsAA7WBp.jpg largeSure, the textures might be a bit dated, but it still looks great.

If the Sunwell set isn’t your thing, then Demonstalker, Rift Stalker, and Gronnstalker all exist.  And since TBC was approximately five million years ago, it’s pretty easy to farm the set tokens for all of these.  Oh, and the dungeon armor set, Beast Lord, isn’t too shabby either.

So yeah.  Hunter sets haven’t been too impressive as of late, no, but go back in time a bit and we’ve got the best there is.

Happy transmogging!

Features to Consider in Wireless Toner Printers

One of the key features to consider is their high-quality print resolution. These printers are designed to deliver sharp and clear output, ensuring that your documents and images look professional and vibrant. Whether you’re printing text or graphics, a printer with a high print resolution will give you the best results.

Duplex Printing Capability

Another important feature to look for in wireless toner printers is duplex printing capability. This allows you to print on both sides of the paper automatically, saving you time and money. With duplex printing, you can reduce paper usage and contribute to eco-friendly printing practices without sacrificing quality.

Fast Printing Speed

Productivity is essential in any office environment, which is why fast printing speed is a crucial consideration when choosing a wireless toner printer. These printers offer rapid printing capabilities, allowing you to complete your print jobs quickly and efficiently. Whether you need to print large volumes of documents or time-sensitive materials, a printer with fast printing speed will help keep up with your demands.

Compatibility with Various Operating Systems and Cloud Services

In today’s digital age, compatibility is key. Look for a wireless toner printer that offers compatibility with various operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. Consider printers that support cloud services like Google Cloud Print or Apple AirPrint for seamless integration with your preferred devices and platforms.

By considering these features in wireless toner printers – high-quality print resolution, duplex printing capability, fast printing speed, and compatibility with various operating systems and cloud services – you can make an informed decision when selecting the right printer for your needs.

I Dreamed A Dream

Most of my favorite hunter armor sets are from TBC (Demon Stalker, Sunwell set, etc.) , but Vanilla had Cryptstalker Armor, and let me tell you, that’s something I’ve long drooled over.  It just looks so neat!  And it turns you into a bug!

BUG!
BUG!

But I’d also acknowledged to myself that it was probably a set I’d never own.  Vanilla Naxx disappeared into the Twisting Nether before it was solo’able (the closest I came was going in there with a group of friends in TBC and still being unable to pass the first trash pull), and with its relaunch for WotLK, the original armor went with it.

But yesterday I found the spaulders on the Black Market Auction House.

I hemmed and hawed for a bit before plunking down 10k gold on it (hey, you make a ton of money in WoD, right?)  I logged in again right before bedtime to discover that I’d been outbid, so I went and made another bid.  I went to bed figuring I’d probably be outbid (again), and in fact forgot about the whole thing entirely until I woke up this morning to a surprise in my mailbox:

CQD5SRNUYAAX89GCryptstalker Spauders are now mine, the first piece of a dream I’ve had since I first saw that set.

It’ll probably take several months to collect the full thing.  I might not even ever complete it.

But ya gotta try, right?

Right!

Five Awesome TBC Stat Sticks For Your Upcoming Survival Transmog

So Survival is gonna be a melee spec in Legion, eh?  Well, I don’t really plan on respec’ing, but I am glad I’ve got all my old favorite stat sticks squirreled away just in case.

What’s that?  You want to know which ones I’m talking about?  Alrighty then: Pike’s list of her Five Favorite TBC Stat Sticks.

Sonic Spear

sonic spearSonic Spear was the first item on pretty much any fresh 70 hunter’s list, and for good reason: it was just about the best thing you could get until you were halfway through Karazhan.  Having one of these suckers meant you were serious about getting into heroics and raiding, and it just looked super cool to boot – especially when enchanted.

Terokk’s Quill

quillThe “alternate” Sonic Spear, Terokk’s Quill was especially great for Survival hunters with all of its agility.  This is because back then Survival hunters had a raid buff called Expose Weakness which scaled based off of the hunter’s agility, so you wanted to stack it.  Oh, and like Sonic Spear, it looks super awesome.

Legacy

legacyA true Rite of Passage for any hunter beginning raiding, Legacy was one heckuva weapon.  It was tough to even see it, because it only dropped from one Opera event (picked at random every week) and then only 22% of the time.  But once it did, you’d be wearing this thing for a long time to come and with its distinctive design you could show off in town that hey, you were doing raids and stuff!

Halberd of Desolation

desolationA drop from the first boss of Black Temple, Halberd of Desolation was a true sign that you were playing with the Big Kids.  The fact that you had to be in a BT-ready guild to get it, combined with its appearance and super cool glowy affects, meant that having one would earn you the envy of all the little baby hunters in Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

Shivering Felspine

felspineShivering Felspine is dropped very rarely by Sunwell trash, which made it another highly coveted high-level item.  Its design matched many of the Sunwell gear drops quite nicely, and back in those pre-transmog days it was neat to have a weapon that matched your set.

So there you go.  Five really cool stat sticks to start farming now if you want a neat retro transmog for your melee hunter.  Or maybe you’re like me and have got ’em all in your bank already.  Hey, I knew being a packrat would be good for something!

Dear Blizzard. Fix Transmog. Love, Pike.

I like transmog.  I like it a lot.  Case in point:

WoWScrnShot_030115_173531Pretty good, huh?

It does, however, need an overhaul.  Mostly because it’s REALLY UNWIELDY.

If I want to transmog into an awesome new set, I have to dig through my bank and my void storage, pull everything out, go over to the transmog guy, pay money to transmog every item one by one, then go back to the void storage guy and pay money to put my stuff back.  It’s all a great big first world pain in the tushy.

giphySo what should we do?  Well, we should make it like Diablo 3’s system, or failing that (say if Blizzard wants to keep farming for transmoggable items a thing) then we should be allowed to stick all the gear for one set into, say, a box, and then be able to label that box and transmog into everything in that box at the click of a button.

Also it should be cheaper.  Yeah, I said it.

What do you guys think?

Edit: I have been informed that I have been Wrong On The Internet and you can transmog from void storage.  It’s still far too unwieldy because I still have to dig through all my different sets.  I still want my gorram box.  And it should still be cheaper!

I’ve been doing some dungeons and they’re so good holy wow

Yesterday I was on a dungeon where I was ON A FREAKING TRAIN it was like it was really a Western movie or something

And then today I did one with this great boss mechanic where there was this conga line of skeletons and you had to kill one and it was so intense holy gosh.  When did dungeons get good again?  I haven’t done one I’ve liked since like WotLK.

So also I have this now:

WoWScrnShot_022415_171619

It’s called [Golden Bow of Quel’Thalas] and it’s such a good transmog holy gosh.  It’s so good and the jukebox is so good because I have it playing some super pretty music from Icecrown Citadel and transmog is so good and blood elves are even more adorable than they used to be and the dungeons are great.  So basically WoW is really good right now?  Hold me.  I feel conflicted.
